How's it Going? Hunter LFG

Tell us tell us a little about yourself.

What are you doing when you're not playing WoW? Work? School? We don't want to pry too deeply into your private life but we'd like to get to know you better.

Very little actually. I'm a stay at home dad, more or less. I was put on permanent disability a few years ago, so I write, tinker, cook and clean some, play with the kids. Bout it.

Tell us about your WoW experience.

What class and spec(s) are you applying with? What other classes have you played? When did you start playing? What guilds were you in? How much raiding have you done? PVP much?

Well at the moment I'm applying on my main, Lairiel, a hunter who's spec changes pretty much constantly based on whatever works at a given moment. I also have a pretty well geared Prot warrior Lisen, who is pretty much only prot. There's also a 650 Druid, and a Warlock I hate at the lvl cap, mostly for tradeskills and amazing garrison gold making opportunities.

I've played everything to some extent, but really can't get into casters with poor mobility.

I started playing on, or possibly the day after, launch. I had friends in the beta, but couldn't get in myself. I was an officer in Etherium Guard, where we raided through MC, BWL, AQ20, but didn't get too far into AQ40 or Naxx before BC hit.

I quit playing through BC, and joined Winterborn when I came back towards the end of Wrath. We cleared the Tournament, and raided ICC, but never made it past the Professor. At some point between Wrath and Cata Winterborn fell apart, and I eventually stopped playing when I was basically the only one logging on.

I joined a very casual guild, Nox Invictus, when I started playing again at the end of Cata, and quit again around 5.2 when my first son was born. I started playing again a year ago, and found the ability to pug raids made the game a lot more interesting again.

I spent the year in Nox pugging through Normal SOO, learning the fights inside out in every role. When Nox started flex raiding towards the end of SOO, I started to have some disagreements with the guild leadership. When WOD launched we were able to avoid the issues for some months, but when they began to be a problem again I decided it was time to leave.

I PVP'd a lot in Vanilla. I mean a LOT. I was pretty well known at the time actually. I have poked at it on a casual basis since then. Usually doing enough to earn the tier armour sets, and have some fun, and not much more. It would be fun to actually find some others into it and see what we could accomplish, but actual PVP guilds always seem very inhospitable.

What is your Weakness?

I'm basically incapable of keeping my mouth shut, or opinions to myself. And I obsessively want to understand how things work, as some of you probably noticed already.

What do you struggle with? What are you working on improving?

In the game? Not much. I'd really like to learn how to do the damn flamethrowers properly. Need more practice.

What was your favorite gaming moment?

Hrm. I'm not sure. There have been a lot. Probably something from a D&D game that would have no meaning to anyone outside the campaign. Possibly getting a call from Baugi at 3am to wake up because a Hunter demon had spawned for the Epic quest. Or schooling some people in WSG back in Vanilla so badly that I got reported by 3 of them on the forums. That was fun.

Extra Credit

Can you link a World of Logs raid parse? How about a screenshot of your interface? These aren't essential but would be nice to confirm that you aren't this guy, with more addons than boss showing

Sure =)

UI Wise, I use as close to base as I can. Less issues on patch day that way. Plus nearly everything of value has been added to the base ui over the years. I do run DBM, and sometimes Skada to keep tabs on what's happening. Other than that, just a non combat information addons like auctionator and PAWN.

Guess that's about it =) Nice to meet you all.
