I have noticed a weird use of personal CDs within our raid team.
I want to make sure everyone understands the ideal use of a personal CD.
A personal CD in most cases is not "Oh shit I'm almost dead, I'll use my CD to try to stop this and let a healer heal me". A personal CD should be "Oh look I'm about to take a bunch of damage, I'll use this CD so I take less damage so my healer doesn't have to heal me as much." Obviously not every CD works this way, but most do. If you aren't sure, please ask, someone will help clarify for you.
Your personal CD usage should be pro-active not reactive, it also helps your healers conserve mana.
You should always be using a personal CD when you have the expel light debuff in the Odyn fight. If you don't have one available please call out for a healers CD or extra healing, include your name in the CD so we don't have to look around to see who has the debuff.
I use my anti-magic shield each time Odyn is doing his big damage after rune bearers so avoid that big spike so that I can go on and be one less person for the healers to have to top up :) My bar barely moves with this on and I get a ton of runic power.
I have to get better using my Fortitude buff (20% less dmg) more often but still trying to work that one in on when is the best time besides the Oh shit moments LOL.
