Feng is going really well now. It's a lot easier now that we've got the first phase worked out to minimize damage from Epicenter. Great job by Swipe and Kulgarr!
In phase 2, we're doing well on DPS. This week we were able to get through phase 2 with only three Draws. That's great because we can use the Barrier on the first and third and only have to heal through the fire damage once. I'm sure the healers will like that!
Phase 3 is fine (since we've killed the boss twice) but could use some improvement. Mostly dealing with Resonance. The area around the Resonance target is only a few yards, so you don't need to be really far out from the boss, just not on top of anyone else. If you have Resonance and Velocity is up, be as close to the boss as you can without being on top of the raid. We'd like to keep you alive! Also, if you have Resonance while Velocity is up, use your defensive abilities! Deterrence, Cloak of Shadows, Ice Block, Anti-Magic Shield and so on. You're going to take a lot of damage at that point so help keep yourself alive!
The other thing to note about phase 3 is that healers and ranged should not be on top of the boss except during Velocity. The reason for this is Resonance. If you are on the boss and you get the debuff, you'll hit the tanks and melee with at least a couple ticks before you get out. That's damage we don't need to heal! If you are watching timers you can move in or out early. If Resonance was just cast and Velocity is coming in 3 seconds, go ahead and move in. If Velocity just ended you should already be moving out since Resonance is coming!
We're doing really well on Feng, we one-shot him this week after all! These little changes will make things easier and if we ever want to do Heroic we'll need to be better at the small things anyway.
