ToES - Le Shi

Fatboss video

One thing I've figured out in LFR is to use the pillars / decoration on each side to hard cast during Get Away. I don't know if the additional damage will make this infeasible in Normal mode. Note that you'll get pushed sideways against it and eventually pushed off.

Does not melee, instead shoots waterspouts at her primary target which cause you to take increased Frost damage (which is your tank-swap gimmick). Her casting speed increases in proportion to her health lost.

Can be 3-tanked on 25-man to help out with the tank swap gimmicks; the enrage timer is not an issue.

Every so often, Lei Shi will use one of two special abilities:
--Hide. Goes invisible, can only be hit by AOE attacks, decloaks after being hit by enough attacks. Basically, playing hot-or-cold with floating damage text.
--Get Away. Teleports to the middle of the room, starts pushing all raid members away from her and dealing a lot of shadow damage to the entire raid. (You take less damage if you fight the current.) Lasts 30 seconds or until she takes 4% of her max health in damage.

At every 20% of her health, Lei Shi bubbles and animates a bunch of water elementals; killing one elemental (any of them) breaks the bubble. Elementals don't seem to have any special abilities other than hitting really goddamn hard. Susceptible to all CC (except slows?), and an additional one of them spawns each add phase.

Oops

That was rough. Too many wipes on this boss last night. :( They were all on the Protectors phases, which isn't surprising. That is the only real dangerous part of the fight. We talked about it a bit last night and I think we were spot on.

It seems best to plan to have one tank always pick up Lei Shi during this phase and the other tank grab a Protector or two. Though you should also be ready to swap targets too when Spray stacks get high.

Other than that, we just need to be faster about CC. I'm not sure if area assignments or mark assignments are better. If we go by area assignments, then we'll need to give the tank an area too and mostly ignore the skull mark. For fast CC, area assignments are probably best.

And oh yeah. One more thing. Stop dying, Auto! :)

For Science!
